Ça ne te regarde pas a multidisciplinary film project where we work with a neighbourhood to realise film- and photography projects together with the residents. Through the process of co-creation, we have made a videoclip for & with the rapper Nicay, a series of photography workshops and exhibition, as well as a community performance of local talent in Hauteville, France.

This is a project in collaboration with the artist Salomé Genès. Cinematographer Teun Brock is involved as visual consultant and DoP. The first videoclip is out since November 2024, titled Paradis ou Enfer.

How can film create a shared experience? Or, how can we feel more connected, seen, and heard through film? Not only can watching a film have an impact, but making a film can too. In this project, both the process and the end result matter. We make a professional music video for a musician in their local context.

We do this through workshops with young people in their neighborhood. To ensure that everyone can participate, we work with masks, which are also made by the young people themselves. These workshops are non-obligatory, free and take place on the street, so that everyone can participate.

In the summer of 2024 and 2025 this project took place in the neighbourhood Hauteville of the French city of Lisieux. We reached more than 300 people, working with them to create new neighbourhood myths. We made the clip with a group of more than 60 children and young people.

Part of the project was the proposal to take pictures with a 'camera obscura', an old-fashioned instant camera. Instant being a broad concept, as it takes 15 minutes to take a picture with this camera. In a place where it is important to protect your image, it is nice to play around with ways of being seen without showing who you are.
